Indonesia produces some of the finest specialty coffees grown in the world. Because Indonesian coffees are grown over such a large expanse of diverse climates, a coffee grown on one island can be drastically different from another, due to the varietal, climate, and processing method. While Indonesia is an archipelago of over 17,000 islands most of the coffee produced comes from 5 islands. Sumatra, Java, Bali, Flores, and Papua.
