The Specialty Coffee Association better known as the (SCA) has donated $205,000 to two organizations that support Louisiana coffee businesses and hourly coffee workers impacted by Hurricane Ida. The figure that was donated represented 50% of all attendee revenue generated by the SCA at the Specialty Coffee Expo held earlier this month at the Ernest Convention Center in New Orleans from September 30 to October 3, 2021.
For its part, Go Fund Bean distributed a number of $500 grants to individual hourly coffee workers who have been affected by Hurricane Ida.

The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation will be administering $1,000 grants to individual coffee businesses that are within designated disaster areas, as determined by FEMA. The grant application which is still open can be found here.
